Disclaimer for Services

Lydia holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and is a member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA). The NHAA ensures complementary health practitioners maintain the highest quality education, safety and ethical standards. We take every reasonable action to create safe and actionable treatment plans based on diet and lifestyle advice that is augmented with herbal and nutritional supplements.

Your responsibility

In order for you to receive the full benefit of your treatment plan we require a completed booking form no less than 7 days before your appointment. If the form is not received 7 days prior, the appointment will be rescheduled. Proper care also requires complete transparency about your state of health, diagnoses, allergies, medications, and any changes to your state of health (such as pregnancy or new medication). Please never cease existing medical treatment or self-medicate without consulting your doctor. Your herbal and nutritional prescription is for your use and is not to be shared with family or friends. If you experience any unexpected reactions to products we have prescribed you must notify us as soon as possible. If you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms such as anaphylaxis you must call 000 immediately.

We take all reasonable care to give you suitable advice but ultimately you take full responsibility for your implementation of any suggestions we may make while providing our service and any consequences that arise directly or indirectly from your choices.

Goals, expectations and our role

Naturopathic care endeavours to address underlying drivers of disease, offering long-term solutions that are not quick fixes. Chronic ill health takes time to develop and needs time to reverse. Multiple sessions are required to achieve optimal health. We support and guide you through the process of healing but ultimately the journey is your own and requires a commitment to the process.

We offer care and support that is congruent with the training and experience we have received. That which is outside our scope of practice will be referred to a more suitably trained medical professional. We offer treatment that is an adjuvant and in conjunction with your primary healthcare provider.

Third-Party products

Certain products are ordered through Future Natural Health and purchased by you via third parties. We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability or any other aspect of these products and services. If you make a purchase through third-party sites you may be subject to additional terms and conditions and different privacy and data collection practices. We take no responsibility or liability for the independent policies.

Digital communication

Communication is via email or through the Patient Portal and is intended for quick questions (yes/no responses), treatment plan clarification, or notification of adverse reactions to supplements. Digital communication from Future Natural Health is during office hours only, Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Expect a response within 48 hrs. To ensure your query gets the appropriate attention it deserves please book an appointment for more complicated or urgent issues or bring your appointment forward. In case of an emergency please contact appropriate services such as Emergency (000) or Lifeline (131 411).

You will receive email communication from time to time from us for appointment reminders, tasks, forms, payment information, prescriptions, general notifications, and marketing.

Limitation of Liability

If you feel there is an issue with the purchase of any services please let us know within 7 days. We want to understand the cause of any issues or errors and find an amicable solution.

Our obligation to Australian Consumer Law is taken seriously and we take all reasonable care to address any issues. However, our liability is strictly limited to replacing the goods or providing the service again; or paying the cost of having the goods or service supplied to you again.

We take care to offer the highest of standards and best practices but if something goes wrong that is not a direct result of negligence, deliberate fault, or misrepresentation, you agree to the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be liable for any loss or damages arising out of or related to our website, any product or services purchased through it; irrespective of whether such damages were foreseen and regardless of the nature of the claim.

The total cumulative liability for all causes of action of any kind shall not exceed the amount paid to us for our services.

Payments

All payments are through Square and incur a 1.9% processing fee. Payment for single appointments is paid in full or 50% of the total cost at the time of booking. The remaining 50% is paid on the day of the appointment.

Cancellations and Refunds

You may receive a full refund or reschedule if you have given at least 24 hrs notice of cancellation. If your appointment is cancelled less than 24 hrs before the appointment you will be billed 50% of the full cost. If unforeseen events occur less than 24 hours before the appointment please notify Future Natural Health as soon as possible to discuss options.

If you fail to attend an appointment without notice we will attempt to contact you via phone call, text message and/or email at the time of your scheduled time. If you fail to attend your appointment 15 minutes after the scheduled time the session will be forfeited and no refund will be given. You will be offered to reschedule your appointment.

Herbal medicine and nutritional supplements are purchased through a third party and refunds or change of mind are at their discretion.

Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

Negotiation

We take quality, the safety of health services, and complaints seriously. If you have complaints with any part of the website, products, or services you agree to first make an effort to try and communicate your issues with Future Natural Health. To try and genuinely resolve the dispute with a tempered discussion for mutual benefit. Please email lydia@futurenaturalhealth.com.au. Expect a response within 5 working days. Complaints will be treated fairly, and objectively. Respectful communication is expected from both sides.

Mediation

If the dispute cannot be resolved, we agree to proceed with assistance from an independent accredited mediator such as the Health Complaints Commissioner. We agree that neither of us will commence legal action until, with the option of the independent mediator, all mediation processes have been exhausted. All agreement is subject to the governing law of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Non-disparagement.

If a dispute arises we both agree not to engage in any public discussion about the issues while behaving politely towards each other. Not unreasonably interfering with any other person’s business or personal interests.
